You’re not alone. These are the very challenges that led me, John Heynen, to create Bible in 4D.
I’m a Bible teacher from the Netherlands, with years of experience walking alongside persecuted Christians around the world. From them, I’ve learned that the Bible isn’t just a book—it’s the foundation beneath our feet.
As I’ve taught and written over the years, I’ve met countless people with the same desire: to understand God’s Word, see how it all fits together, and grow in faith. But too often, the Bible feels like a maze instead of a map.
That’s why I developed the 4D approach to Bible reading. In every book and course I offer, I guide you to explore Scripture through four essential dimensions:

Literary – The Bible wasn’t written by Hollywood scriptwriters. Its authors used very different techniques—rich in structure, symbolism, and repetition. By exploring storytelling methods, original language, and the connections between books, we discover what God is saying through His Word.

Historical – The Bible doesn’t follow modern journalistic standards, but it communicates real events. What are those historical facts, and how do they help us understand God’s message more clearly?

Jesus-centered – The Old Testament points forward to Jesus; the New Testament is built on Him. Even when He seems hidden, the entire Bible centers on Christ. I want to help you recognize Him on every page.

Life application – The Bible was written in ancient languages, distant cultures, and a world very different from ours. So how can it still speak to us today? By reading it in 4D, we discover how God’s Word continues to shape and guide our lives right now.
This approach doesn’t just give you more information. It helps you grasp the message, see the bigger story, and live it out with confidence.
