“Reading the Bible sometimes feels like running a marathon with zero training. Or like teaching a baby math. Honestly, it feels heavy before I even start.”—Linda
I often ask readers and course members if they’ve ever read the entire Bible. Their replies?
Three out of five Christians haven’t, even though 80% say they want to read God’s Word from beginning to end.
What makes it so complicated?
“I don’t have the time. Or maybe I just lack discipline.”
“I get lost in all the names and laws, and miss the big picture.”
“I don’t understand what I’m reading.”
No time. Getting stuck in boring parts. To difficult to understand. The result of these obstacles?
In the words of a pastor friend: “The danger of not knowing the Bible is that your faith can start revolving around yourself.”
Basically, you end up creating your own image of God. But how do you know if your image of our Lord is accurate?
And how can you share your faith with others if you’re unsure of what the Bible actually says?
Hi, I’m John Heynen, and I’d love to be your guide through the Bible.
Reading the Bible daily doesn’t come naturally to me either. There are parts I find confusing, and parts I understand but struggle to live out.
And still… the thought that I’m holding words that came from God? That changes everything.
When I travel to a new place, I usually hire a local guide. Someone who knows the hidden spots, who can explain what I’m seeing, and why it matters. They show me details and connections I’d never discover on my own.
That’s the role I want to play for you.
Every day, I read the Bible with thousands of people. Together we explore the riches of God’s Word, we enjoy His grant narrative, and yes… we wrestle with the challenging parts.
From participants:
“I’ve never managed to read the whole Bible, but thanks to you, I’m finally sticking with it!” —Evelyn
This journey isn’t a vacation or a business trip. It’s a journey to the heart of God—the One who knew you before you were born.
So what does this journey look like? Is it just a reading plan? Isn’t two years too long?
Valid questions, but hold on a second.
I’ve listened to people who struggle with Bible reading. People like you and me who start with the best intentions, then stall out like a car stuck in the mud.
Let me explain what the Bible in 2 Years really is.
It’s a program that takes you from Genesis to Revelation. You don’t need to leave your house. You don’t need to download any apps. Everything happens by email.
Here’s how it works:
You read two chapters a day, five days a week.
Do that for two years, and you’ll have read the entire Bible.
Jannica
“The Bible truly came alive for me when I learned to read between the lines. Nothing is as it seems. John takes you on a journey through every book of the Bible. Step in and prepare to be surprised.”
Why two years? Isn’t that too long?
Experience shows that reading the Bible in one year (or less) can be a great goal—
but…
Reading two chapters a day, five days a week is simply more manageable than trying to get through four or five chapters every single day.
What if I fall behind?
Not going to lie: two years is a long time, and I can guarantee you: life will get in the way. However, don’t forget that the plan is to read 5 days a week. You have two days to catch up. And if you really fall behind, you can always request a pause or ask to be set back a few weeks.
That way, the course follows your pace—not the other way around!
What Bible translation should I use?
You’re free to follow the course with any Bible translation you prefer. Whether you’re reading the ESV, NIV, NLT, NKJV—or another version—you can join in without any problem.
When I quote a verse directly, it’s usually from the NIV. But again, the course is designed to work with whatever translation you’re comfortable with.
What order do we read in?
As we begin this journey, we’ll read the Bible chronologically—but following the Hebrew order of the Old Testament.
After returning from exile, the Jewish people arranged their Scriptures (the Tanakh, what we call the Old Testament) in a very intentional way.
First come the five books of Moses, then the historical books, followed by the prophets and the writings.
Reading the Bible in this order brings a fresh perspective.
And even more exciting… we’ll be reading the Old Testament in the same order Jesus Himself read it!
Henk Stoorvogel, founder The Fourth Musketeer
“How amazing would it be to have a personal guide who walks you step by step through the ENTIRE Bible each day? That’s exactly what John does—beautifully. You’ll achieve one of the greatest and most meaningful goals of your life: actually reading the whole Bible. And you’ll do it in a way that deeply enriches your spiritual life.”
Great question.
I’ve thought a lot about the price—and compared it to things we all spend money on without thinking twice:
Is Bible in 2 Years worth more than streaming, a latte, or a tank of gas?
Absolutely. This program has eternal value.
It’s an investment in your faith, your growth, and your relationship with God.
We’re not just reading a book. We’re taking a journey—together—through the Word of the Living God.
Even though this program is worth far more than those things, I’m keeping it simple:
I’m asking just $1 per week.
That comes to $104 for two years.
But if you sign up now, you’ll get 25% off.
You pay only $0.75 per week—that’s $78 total.

“I long to see people live closer to God—and to themselves. I experience the power of God’s Word every day as something essential. But let’s be honest: the Bible isn’t always easy to understand. Sound familiar? Then The Bible in 2 Years is for you!”
